Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Thrax (the “app”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the app. Thrax is a cybersecurity education app developed by Bawan, an independent developer. By using Thrax, you agree to the practices described below.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to run the app and provide its features:
- Account information. When you create an account or sign in with Google, we collect your email address and display name. If you register with email and password, we collect your email address; passwords are handled securely by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form.
- Profile and progress data. Your chosen username, lesson progress, quiz results, game scores, leaderboard standings, and membership (free or premium) status.
- Device and usage data. Basic technical information needed for advertising and app functionality, such as advertising identifiers, used by our advertising partner.
- Local settings. Preferences such as audio settings, language, and onboarding state are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to us.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in.
- To save your learning progress, scores, and leaderboard rankings.
- To provide premium features to subscribed users.
- To display advertisements to non-premium users.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the app, including limiting each account to one active session at a time.
Third-Party Services
Thrax relies on trusted third-party services that may process certain data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Hosting) — account, profile, and progress data. See the Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob — serves advertisements and may use advertising identifiers. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In — used for optional account sign-in.
Voluntary donations made through external services (such as Buy Me a Coffee, FIB, FastPay, or IQ Card) are processed entirely by those providers. We do not collect or store your payment details.
Advertising
Thrax displays advertisements to non-premium users through Google AdMob. Advertising partners may use device identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Premium members do not see advertisements. You can manage ad personalization through your device settings.
Data Retention
We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your associated personal data from our systems, except where retention is required for legitimate or legal reasons.
Children’s Privacy
Thrax is intended for students and professionals. It is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below. You can also stop all data collection by discontinuing use of the app and deleting your account.
Data Security
We use industry-standard measures provided by our infrastructure partners to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised policy.
